Hello, I’m Caroline

I’m an integrative wellbeing practitioner specialising in chronic pain recovery, nervous system regulation and mind-body approaches, based in Laddingford, Kent.

My work brings together clinical hypnotherapy, Pain Reprocessing Therapy, clinical & sports massage, breath work, mindfulness and movement-based approaches. Rather than following a one-size-fits-all method, I draw on different approaches according to you, what you’re experiencing and what feels most helpful.

I work with people experiencing persistent pain, anxiety, stress, tension and other mind-body symptoms, supporting you to understand the patterns that may be contributing to symptoms or making them harder to shift.

Sessions are collaborative and tailored to you, with an emphasis on helping you feel more at ease, build confidence in your own capacity for change and move towards the things that matter to you.

Understanding chronic pain

In this short video, I explain how pain can persist even after tissues have healed, and how changing the way the brain interprets threat and safety can help change the pain experience.

For some people, chronic pain can be influenced by an overprotective nervous system that continues to produce pain even when the body is no longer in danger. The encouraging news is that these pain pathways can change. By understanding pain differently and gradually helping the brain and nervous system learn safety, recovery may be possible.

Tracey Brechtelsbauer Clinical Massage Therapy & Pain Reprocessing Therapy course

“I did Caroline’s PRT course in December and it was brilliant. It is jam packed full of information and you are led through exactly what to do to help your chronic pain. The exercises are meditation based and all very pleasant. Caroline is so engaging and makes everything easy to understand. Stick with process and you will see a reduction in your pain! If you’re thinking of hands on treatment too, Caroline is a fabulous therapist and I would whole heartedly recommend her.”

“Caroline has a fun, approachable manner when teaching the PRT course. Learning about pain and how the brain influences pain has been an incredible eye-opener. The amount of knowledge Caroline shares is amazing, very thorough and evidence-based. The techniques Caroline introduces provide a different way of thinking about and approaching pain. Building these into my daily schedule has helped enormously. I highly recommend Caroline's PRT course.”
